Speech created thought,
Which is the measure of the universe;
And Science struck the thrones of earth and heaven,
Which shook, but fell not; and the harmonious mind
Poured itself forth in all-prophetic song.
Percy Bysshe Shelley
The powerful opening poem by Shelley creates a strong impact, representing HKUST's proud brand image of innovation and creativity.
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is one of the top international universities in Hong Kong. Eminent scholars and inventors such as Stephen Hawking, Nobel Prize winner Shuji Nakamura and artist Xu Bing have contributed to the university. Renowned professors have been invited to speak at the World Economic Forum in both Davos, Switzerland, and China.
Successful technology spinoffs such as DJI – world's largest consumer drone company founded by Frank Wang – and new start-up Moodbox by Pascale Fung and Anik Dey originated at HKUST. Other prominent researchers in their fields including Alzheimer's specialist Nancy Ip, artificial intelligence expert Dekai Wu, LED authority Kei May Lau as well as China guru David Zweig have all made lasting societal and academic impact.
For their 25th anniversary, HKUST commissioned Hwang Concepts to design, develop and photograph for a 200-page book and mobile app to commemorate the jubilee.
Working closely with the university’s 8-people committee specially set up to oversee and produce the book and app, Hwang Concepts designed a pictorial app showcasing the 25 stories with photography by our partner Guy Bertrand Productions and programming by tech partner Hodfords.com.
Stylish and affordable branding for startups and growing businesses.
